Product Information:
ZOLID PLUS 15/850mg Tablets is a fixed-dose combination of two oral antidiabetic agents:
- Pioglitazone Hydrochloride 15mg – a thiazolidinedione (TZD) that improves insulin sensitivity in muscle, fat, and liver tissues by activating PPAR-γ receptors
- Metformin Hydrochloride 850mg – a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose production and enhances peripheral glucose uptake
This combination is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are inadequately controlled on metformin or pioglitazone monotherapy.
