It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, and repair—leading to rapid bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

This high-strength formulation is used for the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections in adults when lower doses are insufficient or not appropriate.

1. Urinary tract infections (UTIs): Acute pyelonephritis, complicated cystitis
2. Respiratory tract infections: Community-acquired pneumonia, acute bronchitis (in select cases)
3. Skin and soft tissue infections: Cellulitis, wound infections
4. Prostatitis (chronic bacterial)
5. Gonorrhea (uncomplicated urethral or cervical—single-dose regimen)

When Not to Use (ZOLDAP 400MG TABLETS):

Common:
