Product Information:
VONOZAN 20mg Tablets contain Vonoprazan Fumarate 20mg, a first-in-class potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that provides potent and sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion by reversibly inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells. Unlike conventional proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), vonoprazan works rapidly, does not require acid activation, and delivers more consistent acid control—even in patients with CYP2C19 genetic variations that reduce PPI efficacy.
This higher-strength formulation is used for conditions requiring intensified acid suppression, including Helicobacter pylori eradication and severe GERD.
