Product Information:

VILANTO-F 100mcg + 25mcg is a fixed-dose combination dry powder inhaler (DPI) containing:

1. Indacaterol Acetate 100mcg – a long-acting beta₂-agonist (LABA) that provides 24-hour bronchodilation
2. Mometasone Furoate 25mcg – an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that reduces airway inflammation

This dual-combination therapy is used for the maintenance treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents (≥12 years) who are not adequately controlled on ICS monotherapy or require step-up therapy.

⚠️ Important Safety Note:

LABAs (like indacaterol) increase the risk of asthma-related death when used without an inhaled corticosteroid. This product includes both, making it appropriate for maintenance—but never use as monotherapy or for acute attacks.

How To Use (VILANTO-F 100+25mcg):

4. Dosage: One capsule once daily at the same time each day.

When Not to Use (VILANTO-F 100+25mcg):

Do not use if you have:

1. Hypersensitivity to indacaterol, mometasone, or any excipients
2. Acute asthma attack or status asthmaticus
3. Primary treatment of rapidly deteriorating asthma

Side Effects of (VILANTO-F 100+25mcg):

Common:

1. Headache, throat irritation
2. Oral candidiasis (thrush)—rinse mouth to reduce risk
3. Hoarseness, cough

Less common:

1. Palpitations, tremor (from indacaterol)
2. Bruising, adrenal suppression (with long-term high-dose ICS)

Serious (rare):

1. Paradoxical bronchospasm—stop use if breathing worsens
2. Glaucoma or cataracts (with prolonged ICS use)
3. Adrenal insufficiency (with abrupt withdrawal after long-term use)
4. Seek medical help if vision changes, worsening breathing, or signs of systemic steroid effects occur.
