TIOGET 18 mcg Capsules contain Tiotropium Bromide 18 mcg, a long-acting anticholinergic (muscarinic antagonist) bronchodilator used for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It works by blocking muscarinic receptors in the airways, leading to bronchodilation and improved lung function.

⚠️ Important Note:

TIOGET capsules are for inhalation only using a specific dry powder inhaler device (e.g., HandiHaler® or compatible generic). Do not swallow the capsule—it is not an oral medication.

How To Use (TIOGET 18 MCG CAPSULES):

1. Open the inhaler device and place one capsule into the chamber.
2. Close the device and press the button to pierce the capsule.
3. Breathe out fully (away from the device).
4. Place mouthpiece in mouth, seal lips tightly.
5. Inhale deeply and forcefully through the mouthpiece to draw the powder into the lungs.
6. Hold breath for 5–10 seconds, then breathe normally.
7. Discard the empty capsule after use.
8. Dosage: One capsule (18 mcg) once daily
9. Never exceed one capsule per day

When Not to Use (TIOGET 18 MCG CAPSULES):

Do not use if you have:

1. Hypersensitivity to tiotropium, atropine, or related anticholinergics
2. Narrow-angle glaucoma (unless managed)
3. Urinary retention or bladder neck obstruction (e.g., severe BPH)
4. Acute bronchospasm or status asthmaticus

Side Effects of (TIOGET 18 MCG CAPSULES):

Common:

1. Dry mouth
2. Constipation
3. Cough, throat irritation
4. Headache

Less common:

1. Blurred vision (if powder contacts eyes—rinse immediately)
2. Urinary retention (in predisposed men)
3. Palpitations, dizziness

Serious (rare):

1. Acute narrow-angle glaucoma (eye pain, redness, blurred vision)—seek emergency care
2. Paradoxical bronchospasm (worsening breathing)—discontinue immediately
3. Severe allergic reaction (rash, swelling, anaphylaxis)
4. Discontinue and seek help if eye pain, difficulty urinating, or breathing worsens.

3. Not for children or asthma patients
