Product Information:
TASMI AM 10+80mg Tablets is a fixed-dose combination containing:
- Amlodipine Besylate 10mg – a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels
- Telmisartan 80mg – an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that blocks the effects of a vasoconstrictive hormone
This combination is used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when monotherapy with either agent is insufficient. The dual mechanism provides enhanced blood pressure control and may offer cardiovascular and renal protection, especially in high-risk patients.
⚠️ Note: Despite the brand name "TASMI" (which may suggest tamsulosin), this product does not contain tamsulosin. It is a combination of amlodipine + telmisartan—commonly used for hypertension.
Uses of (TASMI AM 10+80MG TABLETS):
- Management of essential hypertension in adults
- Patients not adequately controlled on amlodipine or telmisartan monotherapy
- Hypertension in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria (telmisartan offers renal protection)
- Reduction of cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients (e.g., with left ventricular hypertrophy)
Key Benefits of (TASMI AM 10+80MG TABLETS):
- Dual antihypertensive action: vasodilation + RAAS blockade
- Once-daily dosing improves adherence
- Telmisartan may reduce risk of stroke and slow diabetic kidney disease progression
- Amlodipine counters telmisartan-induced edema and vice versa
How To Use (TASMI AM 10+80MG TABLETS):
- Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day.
- Swallow whole with water—do not crush or chew.

When Not to Use (TASMI AM 10+80MG TABLETS):
Do not use if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to amlodipine, telmisartan, or any excipients
