STARCOX 90mg Tablets contain Etoricoxib 90mg, a selective COX-2 inhibitor nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. By selectively inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme—responsible for pain and inflammation—while sparing COX-1 (which protects the stomach lining), it offers effective relief with a reduced risk of gastrointestinal complications compared to traditional NSAIDs.

This intermediate-to-high strength is used for moderate to severe acute or chronic inflammatory conditions, typically when lower doses (e.g., 60mg) are insufficient.

⚠️ Important Safety Note:

Etoricoxib increases the risk of serious cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke), especially with long-term use, high doses, or in patients with pre-existing heart disease. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.
