Product Information:
SALTRA 25+125 Inhaler is a combination pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) containing:
- Salmeterol Xinafoate 25 mcg – a long-acting beta₂-agonist (LABA) that provides bronchodilation for up to 12 hours
- Fluticasone Propionate 125 mcg – an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that reduces airway inflammation
This fixed-dose combination is used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is not for acute symptom relief.
⚠️ Important Safety Note:
LABAs (like salmeterol) increase the risk of asthma-related death when used without an inhaled corticosteroid. This combination includes both, making it safe for maintenance—but never use salmeterol alone in asthma.
Uses of (SALTRA 25+125 INHALERS):
- Maintenance treatment of moderate persistent asthma in patients not controlled on ICS alone
- Symptom control and exacerbation reduction in COPD (FEV₁ <70% predicted)
- Long-term management of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and cough
Key Benefits of (SALTRA 25+125 INHALERS):
- Dual action: anti-inflammatory (fluticasone) + long-acting bronchodilation (salmeterol)
- Reduces frequency of asthma/COPD exacerbations
- Improves lung function and quality of life
- Once- or twice-daily dosing (typically 2 puffs twice daily)
- HFA propellant—environmentally friendly (CFC-free)
