Product Information:
SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE is a valved holding chamber (spacer) designed to be used with pressurized metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) such as salbutamol, budesonide, or combination inhalers. It acts as an extension reservoir that holds the medication after actuation, allowing the patient to inhale the drug slowly and effectively—without requiring precise hand-breath coordination.
This device significantly improves lung deposition of medication and reduces oropharyngeal side effects (e.g., thrush, hoarseness).
⚠️ Note: The spacer itself contains no medication—it is an accessory used with compatible pMDIs.
Uses of (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):
- Enhances drug delivery from pMDIs in asthma and COPD patients
- Essential for children, elderly, or patients with poor inhaler technique
- Reduces risk of oral candidiasis and dysphonia with inhaled corticosteroids
- Improves symptom control and treatment efficacy
Key Benefits of (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):
- Improves lung deposition by up to 2–3 times compared to pMDI alone

- Compatible with most standard pMDI canisters (including SALBO HFA, BUDCORT HFA, etc.)
How To Use (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):

- Wait 30–60 seconds between puffs if multiple doses are prescribed.
- Clean weekly: Wash with mild detergent and air-dry (do not rinse with hot water or wipe dry—this causes static buildup).
When Not to Use (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):
- Do not use with dry powder inhalers (DPIs) like PROHALER or RESPOMATIC
- Avoid if the valve is damaged, cracked, or not functioning properly
- Not a substitute for proper inhaler technique training
Side Effects of (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):
The spacer itself causes no pharmacological side effects. However, improper cleaning may lead to:
- Reduced drug delivery due to static charge or residue buildup
- Risk of oral fungal infection if used with steroid inhalers without rinsing mouth afterward
Dosage: (SALBOMATIC SPACER N DEVICE):
- Dosage depends on the prescribed inhaler medication (e.g., 1–2 puffs of salbutamol)
- Always follow your doctor’s instructions for number of puffs and frequency
