Product Information:

RISEK INSTA 20mg Sachet contains Rabeprazole Sodium 20mg in a granule formulation for oral suspension, designed for patients who have difficulty swallowing capsules (e.g., elderly, dysphagic, or post-surgical patients). The granules are enteric-coated to protect the drug from stomach acid and release it in the intestine for optimal absorption.

This formulation provides the same therapeutic effect as RISEK capsules but with enhanced ease of administration.

Uses of (RISEK INSTA 20MG SACHET):

1. Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn
2. Healing of erosive esophagitis
3. Management of gastric and duodenal ulcers
4. Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of triple therapy)
5. Prevention of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers

How To Use (RISEK INSTA 20MG SACHET):

1. Empty the entire contents of one sachet into 15–30 mL of room-temperature water (do not use carbonated or hot liquids).
2. Stir gently and drink immediately (do not store for later use).
3. Take once daily, preferably 30–60 minutes before breakfast.
4. For H. pylori eradication: May be prescribed twice daily with antibiotics for 7–14 days.
5. Do not chew or crush the granules.

When Not to Use (RISEK INSTA 20MG SACHET):

Do not use if you have:

1. Hypersensitivity to rabeprazole or other PPIs
2. Concurrent use of atazanavir or rilpivirine (HIV medications)
3. Severe liver disease (use with caution)

Side Effects of (RISEK INSTA 20MG SACHET):

Common: Headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, flatulence.

Rare: Dizziness, rash, vitamin B12 or magnesium deficiency (with long-term use).

Serious (rare):

1. Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea
2. Bone fractures (with prolonged use >1 year)
3. Hypomagnesemia (muscle spasms, arrhythmias)
4. Acute interstitial nephritis
5. Discontinue and seek medical help if severe diarrhea, bone pain, or irregular heartbeat occurs.

Dosage: (RISEK INSTA 20MG SACHET):

1. Adults: One sachet (20mg) once daily before breakfast
2. H. pylori regimen: One sachet twice daily with antibiotics
3. Duration: 4–8 weeks for ulcers/GERD; shorter for symptom relief
4. Elderly or mild hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment needed

Drug Interactions:
