Product Information:
NIMIXA 550mg Tablets contain a fixed-dose combination of:
- Nimesulide 100mg – a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID for pain and inflammation
- Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 450mg – an analgesic and antipyretic that acts centrally
This combination leverages dual mechanisms to provide enhanced pain relief, particularly for moderate to severe acute pain, while aiming to reduce the required dose of each component.
⚠️ Critical Safety Note:
- Nimesulide carries a risk of severe hepatotoxicity (liver damage) and is restricted to short-term use (≤7–10 days) in adults.
- Banned in many countries (EU, USA, Canada); in Pakistan, it is only permitted for adults ≥12 years under strict medical supervision.
