MEROGET 500mg I.V Injection contains Meropenem 500mg, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic. Meropenem inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to rapid bactericidal activity. It is highly stable against most beta-lactamases, including extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs), and exhibits potent activity against Gram-negative bacilli (including Pseudomonas aeruginosa), Gram-positive cocci, and anaerobes.

This lower-strength formulation is commonly used for moderate infections, pediatric dosing, or as part of dose titration in adults with renal impairment.

3. CrCl 26–50 mL/min: 500mg every 12 hours
4. CrCl 10–25 mL/min: 250mg every 12 hours
5. ESRD/hemodialysis: 250mg every 24 hours (post-dialysis dose may be needed)
