Detail Description

Product Information:

GETOFIN 1gm IV Injection contains Ceftriaxone 1 gram as the active ingredient. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., and Proteus mirabilis. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.

Ceftriaxone has a long half-life (~8 hours), allowing for once-daily dosing, and achieves excellent penetration into cerebrospinal fluid, making it suitable for serious systemic infections.

⚠️ Note: Despite the brand name "GETOFIN," this product is not related to finasteride or antifungal agents—it is a cephalosporin antibiotic.
