Product Information:

FINONE 10mg Tablets contain Finasteride 10mg as the active ingredient, a selective inhibitor of type II 5α-reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a key androgen involved in the pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). By reducing DHT levels, finasteride shrinks the prostate gland, improves urinary flow, and reduces the risk of acute urinary retention and BPH-related surgery.

⚠️ Note: Finasteride 10mg is used for BPH, whereas finasteride 1mg is used for male pattern hair loss. Do not interchange doses.

1. Treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with enlarged prostate
2. Reduction of risk of acute urinary retention
3. Reduction of risk of BPH-related surgical intervention (e.g., TURP)

Side Effects of (FINONE 10MG TABLETS):

Common (1–10%): Decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorder, breast tenderness/enlargement (gynecomastia).

Rare: Rash, testicular pain, depression, hypersensitivity reactions.

Most sexual side effects resolve after discontinuation; however, persistent sexual dysfunction has been reported in rare cases (Post-Finasteride Syndrome).

Discontinue and consult a doctor if mood changes or severe side effects occur.

Dosage: (FINONE 10MG TABLETS):

1. Adult males: 10mg once daily
2. No dose adjustment needed for renal or mild hepatic impairment

Who It’s For (FINONE 10MG TABLETS):

Men aged 45 years and older with moderate to severe BPH symptoms and confirmed prostate enlargement. Not for asymptomatic prostate enlargement or prostate cancer.

Warnings & Precautions:

1. Pregnant women must not handle crushed or broken tablets—finasteride can be absorbed through the skin and cause abnormalities in a male fetus
2. May lower PSA levels by ~50%—adjust interpretation of prostate cancer screening tests accordingly
3. Rule out prostate cancer before starting therapy
4. Effects reverse within 6–12 months of discontinuation

Drug Interactions:

1. No clinically significant interactions with common medications
2. May be safely combined with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, or NSAIDs
