How To Use (CIPESTA 500MG TABLETS):

When Not to Use (CIPESTA 500MG TABLETS):

Do not use if you have:

4. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in patients under 18 years (unless no alternative exists)
5. Concomitant use of tizanidine (contraindicated due to risk of severe hypotension and sedation)

Side Effects of (CIPESTA 500MG TABLETS):

Common: Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, or insomnia.

Serious (rare): Tendonitis or tendon rupture (especially Achilles), peripheral neuropathy (numbness, tingling), CNS effects (anxiety, confusion, seizures), QT prolongation, photosensitivity, or Clostridioides difficile-associated colitis. Discontinue immediately and seek medical help if tendon pain, nerve symptoms, rash, or severe diarrhea occur.

1. Complicated UTI or respiratory infection: 500mg every 12 hours for 7–14 days

Drug Interactions:

1. Tizanidine: Contraindicated—risk of profound sedation and hypotension
2. Theophylline: Increased levels → seizures or arrhythmias
3. Warfarin: Enhanced anticoagulant effect → bleeding risk
4. Antacids, iron, zinc, sucralfate: Reduce absorption—administer ≥2 hours before or 4–6 hours after CIPESTA
