Product Information:
BASAGINE Injection Pen 100 Units/mL (3mL) is a ready-to-use, pre-filled auto-injector containing Glucagon, a hormone that rapidly increases blood glucose levels by stimulating glycogenolysis in the liver. Unlike traditional vial-and-syringe glucagon kits, this pen delivers a fixed dose instantly without reconstitution—making it ideal for emergency treatment of severe hypoglycemia in diabetic patients who are unconscious, seizing, or unable to take oral carbohydrates. The 3mL pen contains a total of 300 units (1 mg) of glucagon (since 1 mg = 100 units), designed for single-dose administration.
