Product Information:
APIXAGET 2.5mg Tablets contain Apixaban as the active ingredient, a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) that selectively inhibits Factor Xa in the coagulation cascade. This action reduces thrombin generation and prevents the formation of harmful blood clots. APIXAGET is used to lower the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, and for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

How To Use (APIXAGET 2.5MG TABLETS):
Take one tablet twice daily (approximately 12 hours apart), with or without food. Swallow whole with water—do not crush or chew. Do not use if you have active pathological bleeding, severe hepatic impairment, or hypersensitivity to apixaban. Avoid in patients with prosthetic heart valves or antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), as safety and efficacy are not established. Who It’s For (APIXAGET 2.5MG TABLETS):
Adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation at increased stroke risk, or those requiring secondary prevention of DVT/PE under medical supervision. Not for use in children, pregnant women (unless clearly needed), or patients with mechanical heart valves.
Warnings & Precautions:
Bleeding risk increases with concomitant NSAIDs, antiplatelets, or other anticoagulants. Discontinue 24–48 hours before invasive procedures if possible. Avoid in patients with CrCl <15 mL/min. Inform all healthcare providers (including dentists) that you are taking APIXAGET. Carry an anticoagulant alert card.
Drug Interactions:
Strong interactions with CYP3A4/P-gp inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, clarithromycin) → increased bleeding risk. Inducers (e.g., rifampin, carbamazepine) → reduced efficacy. Concurrent use with aspirin, clopidogrel, or SSRIs also raises bleeding risk. Always review medications with your doctor or pharmacist.
